Returns and Exchanges Policy

At DH Equestrian, we stand by the quality of our products and want you to be happy with your purchase. Our Returns and Exchanges Policy complies with the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and outlines what to do if something isn’t quite right.

Faulty or Incorrect Items

If a product you receive is:

  • Faulty or defective,

  • Not fit for purpose,

  • Or not what you ordered,

we will offer a refund or exchange, as required by the Consumer Guarantees Act. Please contact us at 4dhequestrian@gmail.com within 7 days of receiving your order, and include photos and a description of the issue. We'll let you know the next steps.

You may be asked to return the item. In cases where the product is faulty, DH Equestrian will cover return postage.

Change of Mind

While we don’t encourage change-of-mind returns, we understand it occasionally happens. If you wish to return an item for this reason:

  • You must contact us within 14 days of receiving the product,

  • The item must be in original condition – unworn, unused, fully assembled, and in original packaging (if applicable),

  • You will need to cover the cost of return postage, including providing a prepaid NZ Post return bag if requesting an exchange,

  • Refunds will be issued only to the original payment method (PayPal, Afterpay, or bank transfer – bank account must be supplied).

We reserve the right to decline a return if the item is not in resalable condition or if it falls outside the time frame.

Exchanges

If you would like to exchange a product (e.g. for a different size), please contact us first to check availability. You must include a prepaid NZ Post return bag with your returned item. We do not use or accept other couriers for return shipments.

Important Notes

  • We do not issue gift cards or exchange vouchers.

  • We do not cover postage costs for returns unless the item is faulty.

  • Proof of purchase is required – this can be a screenshot of your order confirmation or payment receipt.

  • We’re a small business, and we know our stock. If you’re unsure whether your item is eligible for return, just ask – we’re here to help.
